David R. Elliott & The Novellas will be touring with another great artist by the name of "Cedric Noel" , who will be opening for David on this tour.
David R. Elliott is as prolific a songwriter as Canada has produced. His new record, Sunshine, culls from a select few tracks that span the last seven years of Elliott’s career. The album was recorded with Charles Austin in Halifax’s Echo Chamber Studio. The 12 song set features collaborations with a host of well-respected east coast musicians.
"Elliott’s deft balance of creative songwriting and his uncanny ear for the sweet syrup of melody are the two shots of whiskey that keep the buzz going on ‘Sunshine’. It’s not all ‘90’s era alt-country though; ‘Sunshine’ weaves many differing moods and styles, from ballads, to slacker rock, keeping everything fresh. These moods and styles are not created in solitary confinement. Adam Mowery contributes to some of the production and vocals, and the gorgeous duet with Kimberly D’Ambrosia, ‘Real Love’, is near perfection, illuminating Elliott’s songwriting craft."

Cedric Noel is currently finishing his third full-length album "Repetition", slated to be released later this year. The album pulls from both 50s and 60s pop as well as 90s indie rock to create songs full of memorable melodies, warm tones and dreamy harmonies. Mainly tracked and recorded by Noel himself, the album also features friends and musicians of the Fredericton community which include Adam Guidry on drums (the Belle Comedians, Hungry Hearts), Dennis Goodwin on lap steel (Olympic Symphonium, Grand Theft Bus), Jane Blanchard on vocals (David in the Dark, Margo, Margo), Scott Mallory on lap steel (the Belle Comedians) among a few others.
