Rock N Roll Rent Party w/ The Mongrels + MoonDog Uproar

Wow, it’s luck number 13 for the soon-to-be-famous ROCK & ROLL RENT PARTY, hosted on the first Sunday of every month by the world’s slowest on-line viral sensation, THE MONGRELS.

Each month features a new special guest artist for the afternoon matinee from 3-7 pm at the APK on Clarence Street (between Call the Office and Grooves). There’s never a cover, but there’s always a good time. Proof can be found on August 2, when ROCK & ROLL RENT PARTY #13 kicks things into high gear.

THE MONGRELS are nearing their tenth anniversary as a live unit, and have spent the decade playing music that others don’t. Delivering high octane rock to the masses, THE MONGRELS pump out music worth leaving home for, largely because you’ll likely never hear other artists perform the classic repertoire on which they’ve staked their reputation. No matter how large or small the audience, every time they hit the stage THE MONGRELS swing for the bleachers with a potent mix of melody and hell-bent guitars.

MOONDOG UPROAR is this month’s special guest act. With a couple of CDs of original material under their collective belt, MOONDOG UPROAR specializes in ear-friendly pop-rock that gets toes tapping and heads nodding. Of particular interest to MONGRELS fans will be the double-duty pulled this Sunday by their drummer Carlos "The Machine" LaTorre, who will be punishing the drum kits for both bands. So make sure you get there for 3 pm, and witness drummer versus drums in this possible death match.
